09/16/2016

(MSC News)--Two Leavenworth residents have been sentenced to prison for their roles in detonating pipe bombs that damaged vehicles in the city this spring.

The Leavenworth Times reports 26-year-old Joseph Dickey was sentenced to nearly 4 years in prison Wednesday on two counts of criminal use of explosives and 21-year-old Amber Wood was sentenced to 3 years in prison on one count of criminal use of explosives.

The judge also ordered Dickey and Wood to jointly pay $8,000 in restitution.

Both pleaded no contest to the charges in August as part of a plea agreement.
