(KNZA)--The Prairie Hills USD 113 Board of Education has ratified a negotiated agreement with teachers for the 2016-2017 school year.
Superintendent Todd Evans says the Board approved the agreement with the Prairie Hills Education Association during their regular meeting this week.
Under the agreement, teachers will see an average increase of 2.7 percent. Evans says teachers will see a pay increase of between $275 to $2,250 based on movement on the salary schedule.
The agreement also includes an increase in the health insurance benefit.
Evans says he was glad to see teachers get a pay increase after going without one for several years.
The agreement was approved by teachers last week.
