(KAIR)--An Atchison man was arrested late Thursday night on a District Court Warrant issued in connection with an incident that took place in May of this year.
Police Chief Mike Wilson says it took place on the evening of May 27th, when an officer on patrol spotted 23-year-old Marcus Ross in the area of Fourth Street and U.S. 59 Highway. The officer took Ross into custody on an outstanding Municipal Court Warrant for failure to appear in court. During the arrest, police found what appeared to be marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
Wilson says the case was under investigation for a number of days, and then submitted to the County Prosecutor’s office for review.
Ross has now been charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, no drug tax stamp, and driving while suspended. He remains in the Atchison County Jail.
