(KLZA)-- The Nemaha County, Nebraska Fair will take place in Auburn Thursday July 9th through Sunday, July 12th.
Blaze of Glory is the theme for the parades at the Nemaha County Fair this year. The parades will be held Friday and Saturday evenings at 6 p-m and will travel down Courthouse Avenue to Highway 75 then proceed to 10th Street.
This years Grandstand entertainment will include Mike Prochnow, a hypnotist on Friday night at 8:30 p-m. Lyin’ Eyes and Swift Kik will play from 9 p-m until midnight on Saturday night.
Other Nemaha County Fair highlights include: livestock shows, woodcarving demonstrations by the LogHoggers Chainsaw Sculpting group at 11 a-m; 2 p-m; 4 p-m and 7 p-m Friday and Saturday with a 6:30 p-m demonstration on Sunday, when a dozen carvings will be auctioned off with proceeds to benefit the fair.
There will be carnival rides and food stands, a pedal tractor pull will be held Saturday evening and a non-denominational church service Sunday at 8:30 a-m at the fairgrounds.
The Heritage Farm Awards and Pioneer Farm Awards will be presented Friday evening at 8 p-m at the grandstand.
