(KAIR)--An Atchison woman was hospitalized Friday afternoon after being struck by a pickup truck in a parking lot in Atchison.
Police Chief Mike Wilson says it happened just after 3:30 when the 42-year-old female pedestrian was walking to her vehicle in the parking lot of the Fargo Assembly plant, located in the 2000 block of U.S. 59 Highway.
The 24-year-old female driver was making a turn in the lot, and failed to see the pedestrian before striking her.
Wilson says the pedestrian suffered what appeared to be a broken leg, and was transported to the Atchison Hospital for treatment.
