Emerald Ash Borer Seminar in Falls City June 18th
06/17/2015

(KLZA)-- Gage County Extension Educator Nicole Stoner will present a program on how to identify the Emerald Ash Borer and the signs of infestations in your trees Thursday night in Falls City.

The Richardson County Extension Office will sponsor the seminar which starts at 6 p-m at Dickies Barbecue in Falls City.

Stoner said the Emerald Ash Borer has been in the U.S. for more than 10 years and is making its way toward Nebraska. The Emerald Ash Borer has now been found in Iowa as well as in the Kansas City area and Colorado.

Stoner says there are treatments, but you need to wait until the right time to do it. You want to wait until the borer is within 15 miles of your location.  The program will help you determine how to treat the problem. There is no cost to attend.
