(KAIR)--A two vehicle wreck on 187th Street in Leavenworth County Sunday afternoon, about one mile south of K-92 Highway, sent two Leavenworth residents to the hospital.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says that a United States Postal Service Mail truck, driven by 34-year-old Jonnathan Santos-Gonzalez, of Lansing, failed to signal before attempting to make a left turn into a private drive. A motorcycle, driven by 26-year-old Christopher Duran, attempted to pass Santos-Gonzalez in a no passing zone and struck the rear of his vehicle.
Duran and his passenger, 26-year-old Carissa Duran, were transported to the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City for treatment of unknown injuries.
Santos-Gonzalez, who was wearing a seatbelt, was not hurt.
The wreck was reported shortly after 12:30.
