(KAIR)--The Atchison County Sheriff's Department is investigating the theft of tractor tires and wheels from property owned by the township of Kapioma.
Sheriff Jack Laurie says a member of the Township Board reported that he found the items missing on May 30th, but is unsure when the actual theft took place, as he had not seen them since August of last year.
The total value of the items taken is estimated to be approximately $1,000.
The investigation into the theft is ongoing.
