(KNZA)--A rear-end collision on U.S. 75 Highway just north of Topeka Monday morning sent a Hoyt woman to the hospital.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says a trash truck entered the highway from a private drive and went a short distance when it was struck in the rear by a southbound car driven by 59-year-old Donna Rae Conley.
Conley, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was transported to Topeka’s Stormont-Vail Regional Healthcare for treatment of possible injuries.
The truck driver, 57-year-old Topeka resident Edward Clemens, Jr., was not hurt.
The wreck was reported shortly before 7:30.
