(KNZA)--A two-vehicle wreck on U.S. 75 Highway in Jackson County Sunday afternoon about four miles south of Mayetta sent three people to the hospital.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says a pickup truck driven by 78-year-old Ramon Alexander Noriega, of Mayetta, entered the highway from 134th Road and turned northbound when it was struck in the rear by a car driven by 24-year-old North Platte, Nebraska resident Luke Ostergard. The pickup left the highway and rolled, coming to rest on its top.
The two drivers along with a passenger in the pickup, 69-year-old Mayetta resident Leatrice Noriega, were taken to Topeka’s Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center with disabling injuries.
The Patrol says none of the occupants were wearing seatbelts.
The wreck was reported shortly after 4.
