(KAIR)-- A five-year-old Atchison child was injured Saturday night after the bicycle he was riding collided with a truck.
Police Chief Mike Wilson says it happened just after 7:15 when the pickup truck, driven by 45-year-old Atchison resident Larry Pentlin, collided with the bike at an intersection inside a trailer park located in the 1900 block of Harper Drive.
Pentlin stopped the vehicle immediately.
The child was flown by helicopter to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City where he was treated and released,
