(KAIR)--A Liberty, Missouri man, who allegedly took part in an Atchison residential burglary Monday night and led police on a short foot pursuit after a traffic stop Tuesday, is now facing additional charges.
Police Chief Mike Wilson says officers found what appeared to be methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the pickup truck 33-year-old Jonathan Hammer was driving before the chase started.
Various items that were allegedly taken from a home located in the 1800 block of Cardinal Court Monday night were also found in the vehicle.
Hammer remains in the Atchison County Jail where he is now facing charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia in addition to the charges related to the alleged burglary.
