(KLZA)-- During the presentation of the quarterly EDGE reports to Richardson County Commissioners and Falls City Council members last week, EDGE Executive Director Beckie Cromer updated local officials on a number of important events that are coming up.
Word is expected soon, about Excel Developments funding request for the Wilderness Falls II housing project. If positive word is received, construction on the next set of housing could still begin this summer.
Coming up in early May, EDGE will celebrate Business and Industry Week. On May 8th a barbecue lunch will be held from 11:30 a-m until 2 p-m at Airlanco with tours given of the drafting and engineering departments.
In June, EDGE will play host to a Southeast Nebraska Resource Network meeting. Scott Honan, Vice President of Business Development for NioCorp, the company hoping to develop a Niobium mine in the Elk Creek area will be the guest speaker for the event at the Grand Weaver Hotel. Cromer also noted the Grand Opening for the Falter Museum in Falls City is May 1st and 2nd.
