(KLZA)-- Tuesday is Primary Election Day in Missouri. Election hours are 6 a-m until 7 p-m.
In Holt County there are several contested races.
Those running for two positions on the Craig R-III School Board are Rebecca Monroe, Michael Peters and Samantha Voltmer-Grist.
Running for two positions on the South Holt R-I School Board are Brian Williams, Jim Kelly and Jason Kurtz.
In the City of Craig, Karen Miller and Angela Woods are seeking a two year term in the At-Large position on the Board of Alderman.
There are a number of ballot questions to be decided.
One question is shall the Southern Holt County Pool Neighborhood Improvement District build a new pool in Oregon that would require bonds to be sold and paid back over 20 years.
Four communities will vote on being allowed to forgo an annual election if the number of candidates filing for a particular office is equal to the number of positions in the office to be filled by the election. This would apply to any city, town or village with a population of one thousand or less. This is a ballot question for voters in Oregon, Big Lake and Corning and Bigelow.
Contested races in Atchison County, Missouri include:
Fairfax R-3 School Board: Those seeking the two, three year terms are: Chris Smith, Samantha O’Riley, Doug Garrison, Jon Graves, Trudy Baker and Miles Smith.
In Tarkio, four people are seeking the North Ward Alderman seat. They are Scott Smith, Michale Klosek Sr. Scott Poppa and Chris Conn.
There is a special road district proposition, whether or not to levy for an additional tax rate of 35-cents per $100 of assessed valuation for four years. This would be a continuation of the present levy.
The Tarkio Special Road District is also seeking to continue an additional 35-cent per $100 valuation for four years.
