(KNZA)--The death of a St. Joseph man whose body was found in a pond this week is now being called a suicide.
In a release from the St. Joseph Police Department Thursday, the department said that their investigation uncovered overwhelming evidence which supported their determination.
The body of 62-year-old Eddie Dewayne Wise was found in Corby Pond Tuesday afternoon by two children fishing.
Following the discovery of Wise's body, police executed search warrants on two different locations where Wise was known to have lived.
KQ2-TV reports court documents indicated Wise was found with a puncture wound to the back of his head and a three inch metal object lodged in his brain.
Police say there is no evidence to support any kind of foul play.
