Interstate 29 Work to Begin March 30
03/27/2015

(KLZA)--The Missouri Department of Transportation says a resurfacing project on Interstate 29 will continue next week.

In 2014, crews milled and paved the southbound lanes of I-29. On Monday, March 30th, they will begin milling and paving the northbound lanes between U.S. Hwy 71 in Andrew County and U.S. Hwy 59 in Holt County.

This stage of the project is anticipated to last through April 2015. After milling and paving, crews will install rumble strips and stripe the new pavement. Some finishing work may be required in both the north and southbound lanes. The contractor anticipates that all work will be completed by the first of June.

Crews will work five days a week and may be working before sunrise and after sunset, in order to complete the project as quickly as possible. Motorists should be alert and follow all construction signs and message boards.

All work is weather permitting.
