(KNZA)-- With the rain the past two days, the Brown County Commission has decided to lift the burn ban.
Sheriff John Merchant said today ( Thursday) the ban will be lifted immediately. However, he said the Commission will revisit the issue at their meeting Monday to re-evaluate the need to re-implement or leave it off.
The burn ban had been in effect since March 7th, imposed after numerous out-of-control grass fires.
