(KLZA)-- 51-year old Shayne Scherer of Grand Island, Nebraska suffered serious injuries in a one-vehicle wreck Saturday morning about 7 a-m approximately two miles south of Corning on Interstate 29 in Holt County, Missouri.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol report Scherer was southbound on I-29, lost control of his Ford Explorer which went off the right side of the roadway, he apparently overcorrected, went off the left side of the interstate, overturned multiple times and came to rest in the median.
Scherer was transported to the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha by the Atchison-Holt Ambulance Squad.
The vehicle was totaled. The Missouri Highway Patrol, Atchison-Holt Ambulance Squad and Holt County First Responders all assisted with the wreck.
