(MSC News)--Burn bans remain in place in area locations.
That comes as dry, windy conditions continue across the local region.
A countywide burn ban has been issued for Richardson County, Nebraska, until further notice. A city wide burn ban is also underway in Falls City, but residents are allowed to burn in barrels on Mondays and Thursdays.
The countywide burn ban in Doniphan County has been extended through Sunday.
That word Friday from County Emergency Management Coordinator Julie Meng.
It was initially issued last Saturday.
A burn ban also remains in place in Brown County until further notice.
Numerous out-of-control field and grass fires in local locations have been the result of the recent weather conditions, leading to the issuance of the bans.
