(KNZA)--A lawsuit is filed in connection to the death of a convicted murderer.
The Topeka Capital-Journal reports that the wife of Roger Hollister is suing the Kansas Department of Corrections, Correct Care Solutions, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, the Nemaha County Attorney's Office and the Atchison County Sheriff's Office.
The lawsuit was filed in Shawnee County District Court Monday by the attorney for Rebecca Hollister. It alleges that negligence on the part of the agencies led to the March 20th, 2013 death of Roger Hollister while the 61-year-old was incarcerated at the El Dorado Correctional Facility.
It was there he was serving a life sentence for the murder of rural Horton resident Patricia Kimmi, whose remains were recovered in May of 2010 after she disappeared in November of the previous year.
