(KAIR)--The St. Joseph Police Department is investigating a report that shots were fired in the city's downtown area early Monday morning.
According to KQ2-TV, officers were called to the 2200 block of South Ninth Street just before 5:00 after nearby neighbors reported hearing gunshots.
Police have confirmed that a vehicle, occupied by one person had been hit, but no injuries have been reported.
The investigation into the report is ongoing.
