(KAIR)--Charges have been filed against a northwest Missouri woman accused of stealing a vehicle, apparently unaware someone was in the back seat of the car.
KQ2-TV reports 26-year-old Harrisonville resident Sasha Moses was charged Monday in Platte County with felonious restraint and tampering with a motor vehicle.
Authorities say Moses allegedly stole a vehicle from a Platte City convenience store Saturday night while a man was in the backseat. The driver and another passenger had gone into the store while the man remained in the car awaiting their return.
Moses was later arrested near the junction of Interstate-29 and U.S. Highway 36. The victim wasn’t hurt.
Moses was released from the Buchanan County Jail Sunday and a Platte County arrest warrant was issued Monday.
