(KAIR)--An Atchison woman, convicted on a charge stemming from the sale of controlled substances from her home, has been sentenced to a year and a half in prison for the crime.
31-year-old Megan Billigton was sentenced Monday in Atchison County District Court to eighteen months in prison on a charge of felony possession of a narcotic with intent to distribute.
Billington and her mother, 52-year-old Brenda Castillo-Dominguez were arrested in October after a police investigation determined that the prescription drug oxycontin was being sold from the residence they were residing in.
Castillo-Dominguez is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
