(KAIR)--The Kansas Department of Transportation has announced that work on the U.S. 73/K-7 reconstruction project in Leavenworth County has been suspended for the winter and the roadway has been reopened to traffic.
KDOT opened all lanes of U.S. 73/K7 from the north junction of Leavenworth County Road 14 south to Sixteenth Street just after 4:00 Wednesday afternoon. With the opening, the project will be suspended until mid-April. The current detour has also been shut down until that time.
The revised completion date of the project is mid-summer of this year, weather permitting.
