(KNZA)--There will be a new face serving in the role of Troy Police Chief beginning February 1st.
The Kansas Chief reports former Highland resident Holly Norris will replace Elmer “ Speedy’’ Stewart who is retiring.
Norris joined the Troy Police Department January 5th. Prior to that she served as an officer with the Elwood Police Department since October 2013. She also previously was an officer with the Hiawatha Police Department.
A public retirement reception for Stewart will be held Friday afternoon at the Pioneer Center in the Troy City Hall building from 2 to 4.
