(MSC News)--Charges are now filed in Buchanan County against the man accused of shooting and killing one victim while leaving another critically injured north of Faucett.
It happened in the early morning hours Saturday in the 1200 block of South East State Highway A.
KQ2-TV reports Buchanan County Sheriff's rushed to the scene, where they found a garage door smashed by a vehicle, with investigators now alleging that 34-year-old Daron Simpson caused the damage to enter the home then went into a bedroom where both shootings occurred.
Dead is 36-year-old Andrew Clary, identified as a native of the Doniphan County community of Troy.
Injured was 33-year-old Amanda Simpson, a school nurse at Mid-Buchanan High School.
Simpson is now charged with second-degree murder in connection with the case. He turned himself into authorities not long after the shooting occurred.
He and Amanda reportedly divorced more than a year ago.
At last check, she was listed in stable condition at a Kansas City hospital and is expected to survive.
