(KAIR)--A 16-year-old boy is facing marijuana related charges following his arrest at the Atchison County Community High School on Friday.
Sheriff Jack Laurie says his office was contacted by school officials who believed they had discovered marijuana, which they seized after receiving a tip about items being placed in a vehicle located in the school's parking lot.
The teen was arrested by Sheriff's deputies on a charge of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school.
Following his apprehension, the teen was transported to a juvenile detention center.
