(KNZA)--The jury trial for a Topeka man charged in a Holton attempted murder and rape case will remain in Jackson County.
Jackson County Attorney Shawna Miller says a judge last week denied a request by the attorney for Filip Rosario for a change-of-venue based on a survey of potential jurors. A jury trial is set to begin March 30th
Rosario is charged with eight felony counts—including attempted capital murder.
Authorities say the crimes occurred on December 19th and 20th, 2013. The victim was treated at a Topeka hospital for injuries and released.
Rosario remains in the Jackson County Jail, held on $300,000 bond.
