Continuance Granted In Boldridge Murder Case
01/07/2015

(KAIR)--Another continuance has been granted in the re sentencing case of an Atchison woman, convicted of taking part in her husband's murder in 2000.

Lisa Boldridge appeared in Atchison County District Court Monday afternoon with her Leavenworth-based attorney Debra Snider. Jessica Domme, special prosecutor for the State Attorney General's Office requested a three month continuance in the case, and new court date was set for April 13th.

The continuance is the fourth since August of last year

Boldridge was initially handed a “Hard 50” sentence of life in prison in February 2001 after her conviction of first-degree murder in the case. Her re sentencing is the result of the Kansas Supreme Court's ruling that “Hard 50” candidates should be sentenced by a jury, and not a judge.

Kurt Boldridge was shot in the head with a shotgun in March 2000 as he slept at his rural Atchison home.  His wife was one of four people who were convicted in the homicide.
