(KMZA)--A residential fire in Seneca Friday morning sent crews rushing to the scene, and to the rescue of a resident trapped inside the 120 East North Street home.
Seneca Volunteer Fire Chief Allen Henry says the blaze was reported shortly after 10:30. “We did rescue one male subject out of the residence. One other person escaped through a back bedroom window. He went through the window and got out fine. He was alright.”
The person rescued is identified as resident Shirley Cleland, while the identity of the one who escaped isn't immediately known.
Henry says the blaze left the home devastated. “It started in the kitchen area and proceeded through the back living quarters of the house. Pretty much contained it to the kitchen area but the house is basically a total loss.”
The investigation is continuing.
