(KNZA)--Repair or replace.
That's a decision that needs to be reached by the Doniphan County Commission regarding a bridge that stands at 215th and Mineral Point Roads, north of Troy.
The issue was explored by commissioners when they met this week.
Ultimately, they reached a consensus to have an engineer survey the area to determine if a permanent low water crossing could be built in place of a bridge.
The survey will be conducted before a decision to repair or replace the current bridge is made.
Meanwhile, the process for replacing another Doniphan County Bridge is already underway.
That structure, located at the intersection of 190th and Saratoga Roads, in Blair, will be replaced in 2015. The cost to make that happen will be covered by a $160,000 grant from the Kansas Department of Transportation's Off System Bridge Replacement Program.
