(KNZA)--Jackson County’s Most Wanted Person has been captured.
Sheriff Tim Morse says 38-year-old Roy Waquahboshkuk, Jr., of Mayetta, was taken into custody by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies early Monday morning, minutes after arriving in Holton.
He had been on the run since early August following an alleged attempted theft of anhydrous in Atchison County. Soon after, Jackson County authorities served a search warrant on a Holton residence where Waquahboshkuk was believed to have been living. Items believed to be methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were seized from the residence. Five additional individuals believed to be associated with Waquahboshkuk were previously arrested on drug related charges.
Morse says the sheriff’s office had received numerous tips concerning Waquahboshkuk’s whereabouts over the last months.
Waquahboshkuk was wanted on a Jackson County warrant for conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of certain precursors with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond in that case has been set at $40,000. Waquahboshkuk is also being held on a Jackson County Warrant for failure to appear, with bond being denied in that matter. Waquahboshkuk also has outstanding warrants from other jurisdictions.
