(KNZA)--A Doniphan County man has pleaded “ not guilty” to charges stemming from a vehicle-pedestrian accident in July that injured a Doniphan County woman
50-year-old Dean Cochran, of the Blair area, entered the plea Monday in Doniphan County District Court to charges of aggravated battery, driving under the influence and unlawful transportation of an open container of alcohol. A jury trial was set for March 2-3.
Authorities say Cochran was driving a pickup truck on July 20th when he struck 38-year-old Dee Anna Kelley as she was walking with her daughter on 190th Road in the Blair area.
Cochran also faces a DUI charge in a separate case after he allegedly showed up intoxicated for a court hearing on September 11th.
He remains in the Doniphan County Jail after a request for a bond modification was denied Monday.
