(KNZA)--Repairs have been made to the roof of the building housing the Hiawatha Senior Citizens Center.
Steve Winter with the Hiawatha American Legion, which owns the building, informed County Commissioners Monday that the project has been completed and presented the final bill from Midwest Coating of Topeka.
The Commission in August voted to pay for the repairs in the amount of nearly $17,000 from the Commissioner's budget.
Winter said there is still some tuck pointing that needs to be done.
In other business, County I.T. Director Sandy Carter informed Commissioners that she purchased a new laser printer for the county Treasurer's office. She said there are several printers that will need to replaced in courthouse offices.
