(KNZA)--A longtime NEK-CAP, Inc. employee is retiring.
The Hiawatha-based agency has announced the retirement of Carol Bauer, Head Start/Parent Involvement/Transition Specialist.
Bauer, of Fairview, has been with NEK-CAP for 35 years. She began with NEK-CAP, Inc. in the Head Start program in 1979 as a Special Needs Assistant. The positions she has held during her career at NEK-CAP, Inc. have always involved working with parents and children.
Bauer's compassion and sensitivity for the families and children served by NEK-CAP, Inc. has been the motivating force of her career. She has played an important role in the growth of NEK-CAP, Inc.'s Head Start program.
Bauer has been active locally, regionally and nationally throughout her career.
