(KNZA)--The 24th annual “ Festival of Lights” Christmas Luminarias will take place Sunday evening in Horton.
The event sponsored by the South Brown County Ministerial Association will be held from 5:30 to 8.
The Luminarias transforms 10 city blocks into 20 living, dramatic scenes of the life of Christ. Men, women and children of the Horton area churches take their places as Bible characters in a setting of live animals, colorful props, costumes and music.
14-hundred candles will light the route beginning at 14th and Central Avenue.
Visitors are welcome to drive the route or shuttle service will be available at Horton churches or the Tri-County Manor.
There is no charge, but a free-will donation may be dropped in a receptacle at the end of the route to support the Ministerial Association’s benevolence outreach.
