(KAIR)--Nearly 1300 Westar Energy customers in Atchison were without power for approximately two hours Tuesday morning.
According to a representative from Westar, the outage was the result of a power line going down due to an equipment malfunction near the intersection of 294th and Brookdale Roads. Crews were quickly dispatched to make the needed repairs, and power was restored just before 5:15.
