(KLZA)-- A pickup was totaled but the teenage driver suffered only minor injuries in a one vehicle crash about 2:40 p-m Saturday afternoon about a half mile west of Falls City on Highway 8.
16-year old Nicholas Aitken was eastbound in a Dodge Dakota pickup. The right side wheels left the roadway, the driver apparently over corrected. The pickup went off the south side of the highway, struck a sign and rolled coming to rest on the drivers side.
Aitken suffered a broken finger and had a cut on the hand. A passenger in the pickup, 16-year-old Colton Haworth, was not injured.
Both occupants were wearing seat belts according to Richardson County Deputy Jeff Frederick.
