(KAIR)--A Friday evening disturbance at an Atchison residence lands one man behind bars facing drug charges.
According to Police Chief Mike Wilson, officers were called to an apartment building located in the 1200 block of North Sixth Street just after 9:30. Upon arrival, they found 35-year-old Herbert Thomas engaged in a disturbance with the apartment's 29-year-old female resident. A marijuana odor was detected in the apartment, and officers discovered what appeared to be a small amount of the drug in Thomas' possession.
Thomas was booked into the Atchison County Jail on charges including possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond has been set at $2,500.
