(KMZA)--A Pottawatomie County man has been arrested for the alleged murder of his uncle.
Pottawatomie County Sheriff Greg Riat says 36-year-old Christopher Arand, of rural Belvue, was arrested Monday in the death of 70-year-old Larry Arand.
Deputies found Larry Arand dead inside his residence at 106 3rd Street in Belvue shortly after 2 Monday afternoon after his nephew went to the Wamego Police Department to report his death.
Christopher Arand was detained and arrested Monday evening in connection with his uncle’s slaying.
He remains in the Pottawatomie County Jail. No bond has been set.
Circumstances surrounding the homicide haven’t been released, and Riat says the investigation is ongoing.
