Falls City Library and Arts Center Receives Book Collection
(KTNC)-- The Falls City Library and Arts Center has received an extensive collection of books from the private library of the late Marshall Maddox donated by his family, Sherry, Alex and Wade. Marshall’s request was to share his literary treasures with patrons of the library and students in the schools.
The Maddox acquisitions greatly enhance the library’s collection in the areas of biography, military history, and sports. Some selections have been donated to the Falls City Public and Sacred Heart Schools.
Marshall Maddox retired from the U.S. Army after almost 30 years finishing his career with the Falls City National Guard Company B. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. Maddox served the community as a city council member, mayor, teacher, football coach, and wrestling coach.
