(KNZA)--Plans for a Doniphan County veterans memorial have been unveiled.
Stan Ruhnke, representing the Doniphan County Veterans Memorial Association, met with the county commission this week to discuss placement of the memorial on the west side of the courthouse in the courtyard square.
Ruhnke said the memorial will provide for about 5-thousand names of those who have served since World War I.
Names can be submitted by individuals or family members. The charge will be $75 for each named brick.
Commissioners voiced no objections to the construction of the memorial in the courtyard. Commission Chairman Terry Horner was appointed to serve as the commission's liaison with the Veterans Memorial Association.
