(KAIR)--Heavy early morning rainfall in Atchison County has resulted in several road closures.
Officials are warning motorists to avoid several roads in the county including 230th Road west of Osborn Road and 326th Road on the north side of the Atchison County Lake.
In addition, Atchison County Road and Bridge crews are out fixing washouts on unpaved roads.
Sedgwick Road south of 314th Road, 238th Road west of U.S. Highway 59, and Edwards Road north of 294th Road have all been re-opened to traffic.
Early reports indicate the area received about five inches of precipitation since the rain started to fall in the early morning hours.
