(KLZA)-- Nebraska Republican gubernatorial candidate Pete Ricketts wasted little time in selecting a new running mate Tuesday.
Following Lt. Gov. Lavon Heidemann’s announcement that he was resigning from office and removing himself as a candidate for Lt. Governor, Ricketts announce that Auditor of Public Accounts Mike Foley would be his new running mate.
Foley, a New York native was elected to the Nebraska Legislature in 2000 and reelected in 2004. He resigned in January, 2007 to become state auditor after winning election to the position in 2006.
