(KNZA)--A former Brown County law enforcement officer has pleaded no contest to two counts of aggravated battery.
Dustin Mather, of Olathe, entered the plea Monday in Brown County District Court to the felony charges. Sentencing is set for October 6th.
Mather was convicted of intentionally causing bodily harm to the same individual on two occasions last year—February 25th and March 5th. The victim is identified only in court documents by the initials S.M.
The case is being prosecuted by the Kansas Attorney General’s office at the request of the Brown County Attorney.
Mather was a former officer with the Brown County Sheriff’s Department, Hiawatha Police Department and Kickapoo Tribal Police Department
