(KTNC)--A Hiawatha man will be sentenced next month after agreeing to a plea bargain in Richardson County District Court.
Thirty-five year-old Andrew Lear had been charged with nine felony counts after authorities say he attempted to pass counterfeit currency at several Falls City businesses on May 3.
During a hearing in District Court on Tuesday, Lear pleaded no contest to eight counts of second-degree forgery and one count of attempted possession of a forged instrument. All those charges are class one misdemeanors.
Lear will be sentenced on October 14.
