(KAIR)--One man was taken into custody after a rural Jefferson County drug raid leads to the seizure of thousands of marijuana plants.
According to a release from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies served a search warrant Thursday morning at a residence located at 5335 Marion Road and on Corps of Engineers property, east of Lake Perry. The sheriff's office says 98-hundred marijuana plants were seized from the Corps property, which were being watered from the residential property. In addition, authorities seized several items of drug paraphernalia from the residence.
Terrance Lee Breason was arrested at the scene and booked into the Jefferson County Jail on five drug counts.
Breason posted a $10,000 cash surety bond shortly after being booked into jail.
