Robinson Man Enters Plea in Child Sex Case
09/03/2014

(KNZA)--A Robinson man has entered an Alford plea in a child sex case.

Raymond “ Chris” Lee entered the plea Friday in Brown County District Court to a felony charge contained in an amended complaint of attempted aggravated indecent liberties with a child born in 2001. In an Alford plea, a defendant maintains his innocence, but admits the prosecution could likely prove the charge.

Following testimony from Brown County Chief Investigator Randy Linck, District Judge Jim Patton accepted the plea and found Lee guilty.  Sentencing was set for October 3rd.

Lee had pleaded “ not guilty” in March to a charge of aggravated indecent liberties with a child and a jury trial had been set for October.

He was arrested in April of last year following a joint investigation by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department, Kansas Bureau of Investigation and Kansas Department for Children and Families.

Lee remains free on bond.
