(KAIR)--A 52-year-old Atchison woman is jailed, following what police say was a violent domestic altercation early Monday morning.
Police Chief Mike Wilson says police were called to a residence in the 600 Block of Mound Street around 1:00 where they found a man suffering from injuries. “When they arrived they found a 45-year-old male had suffered bite marks and scratch marks on his body,” Wilson tells MSC News.
Taken into custody on a charge of domestic battery was Tracey Lavery. She was transported to the Atchison County Jail where she was booked on the charges.
Investigators say the argument is believed to have started when the victim poured out alcohol belonging to Lavery.
She's held on bond of $5,000.
