(KAIR)--Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach has certified a sufficient number of ballot petition signatures submitted by independent United States Senate candidate Greg Orman, officially qualifying him for November's general election.
According to a release from Orman's campaign office, Orman submitted the petition containing over 11,500 signatures from voters in all 105 Kansas counties to the Secretary of State's office two weeks ago. By law, independent candidates are required to collect signatures from 5,000 registered Kansas Voters to be qualified for the ballot.
Orman will now face Democrat Chad Taylor and Incumbent Republican Senator Pat Roberts in the November 4th election.
